I know there's a lot of cliche sayings out there about something that's redesigned and how they say: "the best just got better" and all that nonsense, but damnit...it's true. The new S-Works 7 shoe by Specialized is an improvement in the most important area: fit.
The slippers do this by using this thing they call Dyneema® Mesh, which is trapped between layers of four-way stretch mesh to really grab ahold of your foot and allow you to really crank down the redesigned BOA dials that are CNC machined no less. This space aged material they use in NASA parachutes is so insanely tough and subtle that I got no hotspots whatsoever in the 100 miles I've subjected these puppies to.
What I like as well when it comes to fit is that they have widened the shoe and opened up the heel cup to allow a little more space for your foot to breathe.
The S-Works 6 shoe was a very race inspired kinda fit thats was pretty snug that wasn't for the faint of heart, and this new one is more chill for us average lycra guys.
That being said though, the new shoe isn't gender specific (thank god) and now the only difference between the genders is that the gals have options to buy smaller sizes.
If you ask me they only question to ask yourself is do I buy 2 of them?
