Jonathan came into our Short Pump location a few months ago to get him and his significant other a pair of Specialized Chisel's. They completely fell in love with mountain biking and wanted to bring Jonathan's son, Neko, along with them on the trails.
Unfortunately, Neko's little 24" was not quite up for the task. Thankfully, this year Specialized released the new XXS Rockhopper with a 26" wheel. The smaller frame and wheel size allowed Neko to comfortably ride and control the bike, something he couldn't do on a 27.5" bike.
To make sure Neko could hang with his dad on every trail, we upgraded the front fork to a Rockshox Judy. We also set his wheels up tubeless with Specialized Ground Control tires to be sure he doesn't have to worry about flats. To finish the whole thing off, we threw on some Raceface Chester pedals. All in all, this is a bad ass bike for a little rider, and we are stoked that he gets to get out there with the rest of his family!
