Custom Builds Get You Riding

Custom Builds Get You Riding

This past year has made us get creative in many ways. The most important thing to us in this business is to get you riding! It's hard when there's limited inventory coming from the manufacturers. Here's where the creativity comes in: have parts, will make bike. We tackled more custom builds than usual in order to help get more people riding. Check out what our shops have achieved!

Allez Sprint Force22 Custom Build

The Specialized Allez Sprint is the fastest bike available for the money, and we wanted to build a budget superbike. Starting with the limited edition Gloss Abalone colorway, we decide to put a Sram Force22 groupset on the bike. Wheels are the Roval SLX 24, which are possibly some of the best alloy wheels on the market today, wrapped Specialized Turbo tires. Handlebars, stem, and saddle are all from Specialized. All-in-all, this is a seriously fast bike that can hold its own next to any carbon bike. These pictures don't do the paint justice, this paint has a pearlescent shine that you have to see in person.

Special Midnight Special

We have carried a few Surly Midnight Special's in the last few months, but we wanted to do something a little different with this one. We got our hands on a black 54cm frameset, then went about with a Custom Build. We stuck with the Sram Rival1 drivetrain. Handlebars, stem and seatpost are all from Salsa, along with the Salsa Waxwing full carbon fork. The carbon fork helped to lighten the bike up significantly! Wheels are 700c Alexrims with 38c Teravail Cannonball tires. This all came together to make an amazing All-Road bike capable of gravel ride or fast road rides. This bike sold before it ever hit the sales floor.

CAAD13 Custom Build

The CAAD is an amazing aluminum road bike frame! It's well balanced, versatile, and affordable. So it was a great platform for these builds. We chose the Shimano 105 groupset since it offers amazing performance at a great price. Wheels are tubeless ready Vision Team Comp 30 with Specialized Turbo tires . Bars and stem are from FSA and the saddle is a PRO Griffith. We built this bike with all the components that we would want to ride on. It came together as an awesome package.

Custom Drop Bar Bridge Club

We wanted to do something different with this Bridge Club so we decided to build it as a drop bar touring rig. To take it one step further, we went with bar-end shifter setup and some classy TRP brakes with Hylex calipers. 650b wheels with Specialized Pathfinder tires keep the ride super smooth.
