This is an example of us taking a customer from 0 to 100%. The customer was riding her hybrid bike 30-40 miles a day, and was ready to step up to a bike that matched her level of fitness. To set her up correctly, we decided to have a "Fit First, Buy Later" approach.
After getting her measurements and discussing her ambitions as a cyclist, we recommended a Trek Emonda SLR 6 WSD. Using Trek's Project One, we were able to get the correct 38cm bar with, 100mm stem, the correct setback on her mast cap for the seat post, a Ajna Pro women's saddle that fit her specific needs, as well as a 165mm crank set Aeolus Pro 3 carbon wheels.
Once we received and built the bike, we took the customer experience a step further to be sure the customer had everything she needed for this next stage in her cycling journey. We set her with up a Garmin Edge 520 Plus and used the K-Edge Pro combo mount to hold the computer and a Bontrager Ion Pro front light. She is relatively new to clipping in, so we decided on the Crank Bothers Double Shot 3 pedals, so she still has the feel of a platform pedal but with the ability to clip in as on her S-Works 6 Mountain shoe.
At the rear of the bike, we mounted the Bontrager Flare rear light and the Bontrager Pro Quick Cleat Seat pack, which we fully packed with tubes, CO2 and an inflater. To make sure she stayed hydrated, we set up two Bontrager Race Lite bottle cages with CBC 20oz Insulated water bottles to represent the shop. To keep her safe as well as looking good, we order a Velocis Mips helmet in Miami Green to match her new bike. This is a prime example of the truly personalized experience that a customer can expect from CBC. The bike was completely tailored to the customer's specific needs and desires. She went home with a custom bike and a giant smile on her face that is sure to continue every time she rides her bike.
